Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, in Cairo this past Sunday, called for "condemnation of the massacre of innocent Palestinians by the Zionist occupation forces." So reports Iran's official IRNA news agency. In his address to the third D-8 summit, Kharrazi said the Palestinian issue "is one of the oldest example of violation of international regulations and negation of the most basic human rights... the tragedy of Muslim Palestinian brothers and sisters has entered a critical phase and massacre of Palestinian people by the usurping Zionist forces is by no means justifiable and its all-out condemnation by the global community, especially Muslim states, is an undeniable necessity."



Arutz Sheva's Ron Meir notes that the majority of Palestinians killed in the clashes were in the midst of participating in either violent riots or intentional shooting of live ammunition on IDF forces and Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.



Echoing the line taken by Islamic and Arab states throughout the region, Kharrazi said that no solution would be found to the Middle East conflict unless "occupation is ended," "Palestinian rights are restored, "repatriation of all refugees occurs," and a referendum is held "for formation of a suitable government and establishment of an independent government with holy Qods as its capital."
