Kedma's Summer Training and Experience Program is designed for students from around the world, aged 19-24, who are interested in working in and possibly moving to Israel. Work possibilities include hi-tech, business-investments, law, environmental studies, psychology and any other field of interest that exists in Israel. STEP is the only program of its kind, providing not only work experience, but living accomodations, tiyulim (tours), shabbatonim, classes and meetings with Israeli newsmakers. This unique, varied program gives students the opportunity to truly experience daily life in Israel while making important contacts in their fields of interest. The program is open to all religiously-observant students who would like further their careers while enjoying a wonderful summer in Israel. At another summer program, entitled the "JNF Israel Experience," participants will learn about Israel's unique environmental developments, plant their roots and the seedlings of Israel's "green" future as they work in a JNF forest, and discover Israeli culture as they interact with their Israeli peers, and explore ecology through text study and workshops with experts. Organizers promise that students will "physically and spiritually connect themselves to the Land - as they hike, bike, rappel, snorkel, kayak and camp out under the starry skies of the Negev and Jerusalem." The program will also stress leadership skills, learn how to run Jewish-environmental programs on campus, and become a JNF college activists. The program is three weeks long, is non-denominational, and open to young Jewish adults aged 18-22.
