A 50-year-old man set himself on fire Sunday morning in the Ashdod city hall. The motive for the act is currently unknown.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics who were called to the scene provided him with initial medical care and his condition was defined as serious.
The man was taken to the hospital with burns all over his body, while being placed on assisted breathing and anesthetized.
