The Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza (Yesha) released figures today showing that the Yesha towns in fact receive less funding than other confrontation-line communities in Israel. Some examples among pre-1967 Israeli cities: Sderot receives 3,520 shekels in government funding per person, Ofakim - 3,530, and Beit She'an - 3,610. In Yesha, on the other hand, cities receive much less: Maaleh Adumim - 2,810, and Beitar Illit - 1,760 shekels per person.
Sample numbers regarding Regional Councils show a similar story: Menachemiya residents receive 6,590 shekels each, and Yerucham - 4,720 shekels, while in Efrat the number is 3,370, and in Alfei Menashe - 2,910.
