U.S. authorities said yesterday Monday that Nation of Islam member John Allen Muhammad and his step-son John Lee Malvo are apparently linked to a shooting at a Jewish temple this past May. The two are suspected of being the Serial Snipers who shot and killed ten people in the Washington, D.C. area this month.
A man who said that he allowed Muhammad and Malvo to stay in his house for a few months earlier this year said that he had lent guns to the two - and one of the weapons was used in a shooting at Temple Beth El in Tacoma, Washington between May 1 and May 4. No one was believed to be in the building at the time.
