IDF soldiers operated in the town of Ya’bad in Northern Samaria, following a deadly terror attack in the city of Bnei Brak on March 29th, 2022, in which five people were killed.
Over Saturday night to early Sunday morning, the IDF conducted an extensive counterterrorism operation in the town of Ya’bad, where the terrorist originated from.
During the counterterrorism operation, IDF special forces apprehended eight suspects involved in terrorist activities and confiscated illegal weapons.
The soldiers located IDF ammunition and uniforms in the residence of one of the suspects. An explosive device prepared for a future terror attack was discovered and confiscated by the soldiers in another residence.
The suspects and weapons were transferred to security forces for further processing.
During the operation, the soldiers encountered violent rioters, to which they responded with riot dispersal means and live fire.
A Palestinian suspect hurled an explosive device at IDF soldiers. In response, the suspect was neutralized by the soldiers. No IDF injuries were reported.
