Amidst reports of illegal olive harvests by Jews in Arab-controlled areas, provocative olive harvests continued by Arabs - and their Peace Now supporters - near the fence of the southern Shomron community of Eli. Army, police, and civilian security forces banished several hundred Arabs and radical left-wing activists who crossed the community's security road and reached the area near the town's shopping center. The local security officer who shot in the air at the sight of the Arabs was taken in for questioning.
