On Sunday evening there will be a demonstration in Jerusalem in front of the Supreme Court protesting the torture that Amiram Ben-Uliel went through, and calling to accept his appeal and release him.

Knesset members, rabbis and public figures are expected to participate.

The president of the Har Hamor yeshiva, Rabbi Zvi Israel Tau, has announced that he will participate in the demonstration, and he is expected to speak at the event. The announcement ahead of the demonstration states that "after six years of struggle, the moment of truth has arrived. A moment before Amiram Ben-Uliel's appeal, we will all arrive and cry out - stop the torture, release Amiram."

The demonstration is taking place ahead of the expected hearing on the appeal tomorrow at 11:30 am at the Supreme Court, where Ben-Uliel's lawyers will ask to disqualify all of Ben-Uliel's confessions made under torture.

Recll that the District Court ruled that Ben-uliel was tortured in his interrogations by the Shabak and disqualified most of his confessions. However, the district court did accept some of the interrogations despite the torture and convicted Ben-Uliel on the basis of those.
