(Updated Thursday 12PM) IDF forces entered the PLO-controlled town of Kalkilya early this morning in an attempt to thwart terror before it happens. 17 Arabs were arrested including a top Fatah Tanzim terrorist and several members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terror group. The troops came under fire during the operation, but no injures were reported.

In addition, Arabs last night shot at soldiers in various locations in Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza), including in the Shechem and Ramallah regions, as well as near the Gush Katif community of Gadid. There were no injures. Also last night, Arabs hurled a firebomb at a gas station in Jerusalem’s French Hill neighborhood without causing damage or injuries. Despite the violence an Israeli delegation lead by Foreign Minister Shimon Peres will meet with top Palestinian Authority officials today. The PA team will be led by top negotiator Saeb Erekat.
