Israeli forces briefly entered the PA-controlled town of Beit Jala this morning. They severely damaged four houses and wounded 12 terrorists, two of them seriously. Palestinians initiated gun battles from there upon several Israeli targets this morning, and Israel originally responded with tank fire. The Tunnels Highway, which was closed for a while this morning as a result of the Palestinian attack, is currently open.
