Residents of the Assaf Outpost between Ofrah and Beit El were granted a hearing in the Civil Administration Offices in Beit El this morning. A demolition order on the homes there was issued late last week. The residents told Arutz-7's Kobi Sela afterwards that the hearings were "staged," and that it appears that the decision to evict them and destroy the site has already been made. The residents still have 24 hours to appeal to the Supreme Court against the dismantling. MKs Yossi Sarid and Mossi Raz arrived at Assaf today; Sarid said that the outposts are "worse than explosives belts [of the type used by suicide terrorists to murder hundreds of Israelis]." Six families live at the site, which is a critical junction along the Jerusalem-Ofrah highway.
