Hundreds of Arabs in the Shilo-Eli region, reacting to false rumors of a Jewish attack - rumors which continued to be disseminated as news on Israel Radio as late as 11:30 AM - attacked Jewish farmers, fields, and cars near Adei Ad this morning. The army has arrived on the scene and attempted to take steps to restore order. Several Israeli vehicles have had windows blown out, and many fields and some cars are up in flames, and the security officer of one of the Jewish communities even had his gun snatched away. Adei Ad is located adjacent to Shvut Rachel, in the Gush Shilo area of the Benjamin Regional Council district of the Shomron. Latest reports are that 200 Arabs are surrounding Adei Ad and throwing stones into the neighborhood.
