A senior Hizbullah terrorist was killed this morning in a special IDF attack. Mas\'oud Ayad, 49, who also served as an officer in Arafat\'s Force 17, led a large Hizbullah cell in Gaza. Ayad was responsible for the shelling of Netzarim, the placing of explosives against Israeli targets, and an attack on a Jewish bus on its way out of Netzarim. Army sources said he was also involved in plans to kidnap Israeli soldiers. Arutz-7 reported earlier this week of increasing reports detailing the increasing cooperation between Hizbullah and Palestinian elements both in Gaza and in southern Lebanon.

Ayad attempted to escape from the car, and other cars on the street were hit by the continued firing; several passers-by were injured.
