The municipal and government workers strike will be one week old tomorrow night, and threatens to engulf additional sectors on Sunday if no solution has been found by then. A meeting of representatives of the Histadrut Labor Union and the Finance Ministry is set for tomorrow night. If it produces no results, the labor union threatens to add hospitals, the Bezeq phone company, and institutions of higher learning to its list of stricken sectors and offices. Garbage has not been collected since Friday in most cities, and many government offices are not open to the public.
