A worker at Dekel Print Shop in the industrial area said today that the area is working on a partial basis. \"It\'s not advisable to walk around here, because of the sniper fire... But it\'s not just our area; this is a national struggle, and we need patience…\"
Yitzchak Cohen, an employee in the Technological Incubators of Gush Katif, said that shooting had continued almost non-stop since the early morning hours: \"What we cannot understand is why the army doesn\'t take the elementary steps required to stop the shooting. We see very clearly where the shooting is coming from - houses in Khan Yunis only several dozen meters away from here - and it\'s impossible to explain why the army doesn\'t just go in there and take down those buildings!\" He said that the buildings are located in a residential area, but it is unlikely that anyone lives there. Asked whether he has hopes that the new government headed by Ariel Sharon would take steps to end the situation, Cohen answered, \"I would say it\'s not a hope, but rather a demand. It\'s absolutely inconceivable that we should live under constant shooting, and he must take the necessary steps to remedy this situation.\"
