In response to the Defense Minister's claim that the outposts are illegal and must therefore be removed, one resident of Assaf told Arutz-7 today,

The police attempted to prevent many people from reaching the site last night, but Kedumim Mayor Daniella Weiss called on the public to look for alternative routes. "It's only a half-hour walk from Emanuel and Kedumim," she said. When asked about the dangers involved in walking, she said, "What's really dangerous is to hide in ghettos."
The farm is built on land belonging to the Zar family, whose son Gilad - security officer of the region - was murdered by terrorists well over a year ago, and in whose name the farm was founded. A video report about the Gilad Farm can be seen on Arutz-7 TV, on our homepage at israelnationalnews.com. Mayor Weiss said that of late, "some people in the Likud have finally been waking up and asking why Ben-Eliezer is begin given full rein over matters having to do with the Land of Israel. It's time for all the nationalist parties to wake up…"
