IDF troops north of Jenin shot and killed two Arabs affiliated with the Islamic Jihad terror organization. The two men in their mid-twenties were planning a suicide bombing within pre-1967 Israel in the near future. The GSS (General Security Service, or Shin Bet) says that the men had an explosives belt in their possession.
In another Jenin district incident, soldiers discovered a bomb laboratory in the village of Kabatiyeh. Inside the building were an explosives belt, screws, electronic detonators, and large quantities of chemicals. The lab was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
