Most of the city of Rafiach, half inside the Palestinian autonomy and half-Egyptian, has not had electricity for the past day. The Israeli army attacked the nearby refugee camp last night, and the PA claims that the offensive knocked out the main local power station. The area has been the site of intensive Palestinian warfare against Israel of late, and is also believed to be a central smuggling point for Palestinian weapons and ammunition from Egypt.
