Soldiers stationed on the battlefronts in Judea, Samaria and Gaza show less battle-weariness than their comrades stationed in the north. Thus concludes a field study carried out by the IDF Psychological Branch, published in the IDF weekly BaMachaneh [In the Camp]. The army says that the study proves that though the soldiers in Yesha have more of an operational load, they have a more positive feeling about what they are doing. Two proposed explanations are the monotony in the north, as opposed to the varied and rich operational experience in Yesha, and the feeling that in Yesha, their activities are necessary and have a purpose.
