Israelis will have plenty of time to exchange opinions, or even take action, regarding the above matter of the outposts, as national and municipal government offices go on strike beginning early Sunday morning. Public service employees are protesting curtailed overtime hours and the lack of cost-of-living salary increases. Among the offices that will not provide service are the National Insurance Institute, the Employment Service, and passport and identity card offices in the Interior Ministry. Municipal services such as trash collection will not be offered. Finance Ministry officials say that efforts are being made to prevent the strike.
