A terrorist attempt to infiltrate Morag, a Jewish community in southern Gush Katif, was thwarted late this morning. An IDF lookout saw two or three armed men approaching Morag, and forces were alerted to the site. They combed the area, sighted one of the terrorists, opened fire - and the would-be murderers escaped back into PLO-controlled area. Arutz-7's Kobi Finkler reports on three other shooting incidents in the area since last night: Arabs fired at an IDF outpost near Gadid, at a position near the Israeli-Egyptian border - where two soldiers were lightly wounded last night - and at Israelis near N'vei Dekalim; no one was hurt.

Explaining that the "demolition of houses of terrorists is an important part of the struggle against Palestinian terrorism," IDF demolition crews leveled the homes owned by the Arab murderers of Israeli couple Avi and Avital Vilensky last night. The Vilenskys, parents of two small children, were gunned down this past August while driving near Shilo, north of Jerusalem. Local residents have repeatedly demanded the destruction of the building from where the fatal shots were fired.

Twelve Arabs suspected of terror activity were arrested last night throughout Yesha. The majority of arrests took place in the Shechem district.
