Israel-supporters in an Englewood, New Jersey congregation have decided once again: "We've rallied in Boston, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Washington... Now let's rally in Jerusalem!" Following a successful demonstration of support in Jerusalem by 1,500 Jews and Christians from six continents this past August, the group has again begun preparations for North Americans to take part in a mass rally of solidarity with Israel - in Israel.
For only $950 ($650 for those requesting subsidies) to cover round-trip airfare, hotels and most expenses in Israel, participants will be able to show their solidarity with Israel in a three-day trip to the country, culminating in the grand rally on Nov. 27. The itinerary includes visits to victims of terror, blood donations, tours of Jerusalem, and more. Participants at the first rally, from North America, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Thailand, and Australia, marched with veteran and new-immigrant Israelis through the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, were greeted by teens waving banners and Israeli flags, and sang and danced through the streets accompanied by klezmer musicians. Information on the rally can be had at the group's website .
