VAT - Victims of Arab Terror - and Mrs. Sarah Kessler, whose 19-year-old daughter Gila was murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in Jerusalem this past June, has filed a police complaint against Atty. Shammai Leibovitz. The complaint is based on the law prohibiting the defamation of another's religious beliefs - clause 172, stating that one who "sounds a word or sound, in a public place and within hearing distance of someone, that grossly offends that person's faith or religious sensations is liable to one year in prison." ---. It claims that Leibovitz's statement in court lat week during the trial of Marwan Barghouti, in which he compared the accused to Moses, the Jewish People's greatest prophet and teacher. The complaint notes that four years ago, Tatyana Suskin, a young Russian immigrant, was sentenced to two years in prison for drawing a picture of Mohammed as a pig. Kessler and VAT President Shifra Hoffman signed the complaint.
