The Machpelah Cave in Hevron - where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah are buried - was the scene of a joyful event today: Two Torah scrolls were introduced into the synagogue there, amidst dancing and singing, in memory of Rehavam (Gandhi) Ze'evi. The scrolls were donated by friends of the Ze'evi family. A scholarship fund for students was also launched in Hevron today, also in Gandhi's honor. Women in Green will dedicate a new mini-forest called Rehavam Grove tomorrow morning at the Jewish neighborhood of Maaleh HaZeitim (Ras el-Amud). Afterwards, a guided tour of the area will be conducted, beginning at the Rehavam Promenade of Mt. of Olives.
