A 32-year-old woman who was in the 28th week of her pregnancy arrived at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot yesterday, Saturday, and while in the parking lot, before entering the emergency room, collapsed and lost consciousness.
The medical staff immediately began resuscitation efforts. The woman was admitted to the hospital and, while continuing the resuscitation efforts, it was decided to perform an emergency caesarean section to remove the baby.
Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, the medical staff was forced to determine the death of the mother. The newborn was transferred to preterm infants, is in a stable condition and is being treated by the medical staff.
