Six Israelis were wounded in two separate terror attacks last night, one in the Shomron and the second in southern Israel's Negev region. Kassam rockets were fired from northern PA-controlled Gaza into the southern Israel city of Sderot around 9 PM. Four persons were treated for smoke inhalation after the rocket hit the roof of a medicine-manufacturing plant in the city's industrial zone. After the first such rocket attack on Sderot a year and a half ago, IDF air and ground forces attacked several Palestinian Authority targets, killing one PA para-military policeman and injuring some 30. The targets at the time included a Force 17 training base, the office of a Tanzim chief, PA Preventive Security headquarters, and others.

Also last night, gunfire was directed at a car traveling between the communities of N'vei Tzuf and Ateret, north of Ramallah, wounding a man and his nephew. The uncle - Dov Remez, 40, of Ateret - was listed in "moderate" condition, with gunshot wounds in his stomach and elbow. Army officials report that at least 15 bullet shells were found at the scene. Ateret's Administrative Secretary Yoav Barak told Arutz-7 today that the road between Ateret and N'vei Tzuf has seen several terrorist shootings, not all of which have ended with injuries, and that the army would be well-advised to provide round-the-clock protection there.

In other incidents last night, Arabs threw rocks at motorists traveling on the Hussan bypass in Gush Etzion... Arabs also hurled bottles and rocks at police near Bir Naballah on Jerusalem’s northern border... A tank was shot at in Gush Katif... Security guards on the Trans-Israel Highway were targeted by gunfire from PA-controlled Kalkilye... A shell was fired towards Gush Katif, but landed within PA-controlled territory... No one was hurt in these attacks. This afternoon, an Israeli was lightly wounded by rocks thrown at him on the path to the Machpelah Cave in Hevron.
