(Updated Thursday 9:45 AM) A group of Shomron residents, mostly women, prayed at Joseph’s Tomb in the PLO-controlled town of Shechem last night. The worshippers’ visit was approved by the IDF who accompanied them to the holy site for protection. The IDF says that it is considering allowing more people into the tomb tonight to celebrate Hoshana Rabah (A special day within the Sukkot holiday). Just two weeks ago, on the eve of the Yom Kippur holiday, 78 Jews were given entry to the tomb. That visit was the first one endorsed by the IDF since troops pulled back from the site two years ago.
