(Updated Thursday 9AM) This morning IDF troops shot and killed an armed Arab in the vicinity of the northern Gush Katif community of Alei Sinai. A Kalashnikov assault rifle was found on his body. A second Arab fled the scene and soldiers began a manhunt. It is believed that the two were on their way to attempt to infiltrate the community.
Border Police arrested Nidal Anaya, the Kalkilye branch leader of the Al-Aksa Brigade terrorist organization last night. Anaya is accused of dispatching suicide bombers and gunmen to attack Israeli civilians and soldiers. Last night a total of 15 wanted Arabs were arrested throughout Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza).
Arabs threw rocks at motorists traveling on the Hussan bypass in Gush Etzion. In addition Arabs hurled bottles and rocks at police near the village of Bir Naballah on Jerusalem’s northern border. No injuries were reported in either incident.
