35-year-old Minnesota native, Ray Reco McNeary, was taken into custody following a nine-hour standoff with authorities after trying to rob a local Wells Fargo branch last Thursday in St. Cloud, MN.

According to reports, the branch manager contacted police around 1:45 p.m. fearing for the safety of employees during a dispute with the disgruntled former worker.

McNeary collected hostages' phones and livestreamed the standoff with FBI officers.

In scenes eerily reminiscent of 1975 American crime drama Dog Day Afternoon produced by Martin Bregman and Martin Elfand, and featuring Al Pacino, McNeary showered onlookers with dollar bills collected in the robbery and had police deliver pizza to the bank.

No one was injured in the incident though some of the hostages appeared visibly shaken after the incident. It is unclear whether the suspect was armed during the standoff.
