The Fatah military wing announced today that it plans to carry out suicide attacks in Druze villages - in response to the behavior of Druze policemen and soldiers towards the Arabs of Judea and Samaria . The announcement, released in Shechem, said that the Druze officers act like "Nazis," and are in the service of the "Nazi" Sharon government.

Hizbullah fired from Lebanon at northern Israeli twice today, after a hiatus of a few days. No one was hurt, but a fire was ignited in a field outside Kiryat Shmonah.

On the other hand, an IDF force thwarted a potential terror attack near Jenin last night. Checkpoint soldiers ordered a suspicious Arab vehicle to halt, and opened fire when it failed to do so. One of the Arabs inside was killed, and the other was injured. The soldiers then searched the car and found two Kalachnikov assault rifles.

In other IDF activity last night, troops apprehended at least seven Arab terrorist suspects. One of those captured was a Tanzim member accused of planting the two bombs in the town of Kokhav Ya'ir last week, not far from the home of former Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

In contrast to the terrorist murders of today, intelligence sources said earlier this week that Israel had succeeded in dismantling the Hamas terrorist infrastructure. This optimistic report is based on the fact that 98% of the organization's military wing, some 70 terrorists, have been killed or arrested since the beginning of the Oslo War. The IDF presence in and around the PLO-controlled cities is making it difficult for Hamas to re-group. In addition, the organization is also dealing with the deteriorating health of its leader, arch-terrorist Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and the struggle for power expected to follow his demise.
