An IDF force thwarted a potential terror attack near the village of Tamoun in the Jenin district last night. Soldiers spotted two suspicious Arab motorists approaching their position and ordered the driver of the vehicle to halt. When the car failed to stop, troops opened fire killing one of the men and injuring the second. After the incident troops searches the car and found two Kalashnikov assault rifles. Arab sources say the men were affiliated with Yasser Arafat’s Fatah terror organization.
In other activity, troops last night apprehended at least seven Arabs suspected of terror activity. One of those captured was a Tanzim terrorist suspected of planting two explosive devices in the town of Kochav Yair last week, near the previous home of Former Prime Minster Ehud Barak.
