
It's Saturday night so, for those of you considering a quiet night in front of a movie, this one's for you:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Method:
Make sure to use a saucepan with a lid!
- Heat oil in a large stainless steal saucepan over medium heat
- (Put in 3 raw kernels - when they pop it is hot enough to add the rest!)
- Add kernels and sugar and mix well
- Keep shaking saucepan so that the sugar doesn't burn
- When popping has slowed down to once every 2-3 seconds remove from heat
- Keep shaking saucepan until all popping has stopped
- Pour into large bowl and add salt
