The Lebanese water-diverting works continue spiritedly along as the Lebanese seek to divert some of the Hatzbani River waters towards their farms. Dozens of trucks are being used to move large pipes in what IDF Northern Command officers are now saying is a larger-scale operation than was originally thought. Contrary to some who say that it is just an innocent action to quench the thirst of a growing Lebanese population, the officers say it is a calculated provocation on the part of Hizbullah and other elements. Prime Minister Sharon said earlier this week that the act is sufficiently serious to justify going to war. At present, however, Israel is sufficing with the exertion of diplomatic pressures.
