In addition to the nearly 1,600 shells the Arabs have fired at Jewish towns in the Gaza Strip in the past two years, about a dozen more have landed on the pre-'67 side of Israel, between Sderot and Nachal Oz. The Arabs targeted this area again this morning, landing a shell between two western-Negev communities. Two other shells landed last night in a Jewish community in Gush Katif. No one was hurt in either incident.

An explosive device was hurled at an IDF force near Bir Zeit, northwest of Beit El.
