(Updated Thursday 9:45 AM) US president Bush will address the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York today. Bush is expected to make his case for action against Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Yesterday, Bush addressed the world from Ground Zero, where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center once stood. The president said, “We [The US] will not let any terrorist or tyrant to threaten civilization with weapons of mass murder… We have made a sacred promise to ourselves and to the world. We will not relent until justice is done… What our enemies have begun, we will finish.



Yesterday, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon praised Bush for launching a war on terror. He made his remarks at the official state ceremony for the victims of September 11. Sharon also warned of the dangers to civilization presented by “axis of evil” nations including Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Libya.
