About 2,000 Arabs held a pro-Saddam Hussein rally in Gaza City yesterday. The Associated Press reports that leaders of the event, representing the local chapter of Hussein's Baath Party, handed out checks of $10,000 to the families of 36 Arabs killed by IDF troops over the past several months. Hussein recently raised the reward to families of suicide bombers from $10,000 to $25,000.

During the demonstration, Arabs carried pictures of Saddam and pledged to fight on Iraq's side if the western allies launch a strike to Baghdad. Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin made an appearance at the rally. He incited the crowd to continue targeting Israeli civilians and soldiers.
