Don't Steal Our Water
Prime Minister Sharon sent a harsh warning to Lebanon yesterday: don’t try to pump water from the Wazzani River. The Wazzani is a tributary of the Hatzbani River, which flows into Israel's Kinneret (Lake of Gallilee). The Kinneret is Israel's main source of drinking water. Lebanon has drawn up plans to divert some of the water to towns and villages in southern Lebanon. Israel is considering a military reponse should there be a disruption in water flow to the Kinneret. The Prime Minister even convened his Security Cabinet this morning to discuss potential action. The Hizbullah terror organziation has warned Israel not to prevent Lebanon from its plans to pump water from the Wazzani.
