A large explosive was detonated against an IDF force near Shechem this afternoon; no one was hurt... Dozens of grenades were hurled at an IDF patrol near Rafiach; the soldiers were unhurt and returned fire... Soldiers in Bitunia, near Ramallah, last night shot and killed a wanted terrorist - a member of the Palestinian Authority security force - and wounded and caught two others. Army officials say that all three men had been involved in attacks against soldiers in the Ramallah area.
Also last night, soldiers arrested a top Fatah Tanzim terrorist in the Kasbah market of Shechem - another central Hamas figure south of Hevron who planned and perpetrated many attacks, and three other wanted suspects… Arabs fired yet another mortar shell at a Jewish community in Gaza; there was no damage… Jewish residents of the Admat Yeshai (Tel Rumeida) neighborhood of Hevron were targeted by Arab stone-throwers. One of the Jews fired his weapon at the Arabs, who then fled… Arabs shot at soldiers in Ramallah and at the northern Shomron community of Sa-Nur; no one was hurt… Security forces are on high alert throughout the Shomron and Gaza this morning following intelligence warnings of a terror attack in the works.
