The Hevron Police continue to detain a resident of the northern Israel city of Kiryat Ata. He was among the Jews attacked yesterday by Arab gunmen as they were on their way to Admot Yeshai (Tel Romeida). The police suspect that he fired back at his attackers. Admot Yeshai resident Baruch Marzel told Arutz-7 that when the army and police finally arrived at the scene some ten minutes after the shooting began, \"We thought to ourselves, Hey look, the police are finally reacting. But no - they asked us nothing about who shot at us or from where, but rather who among us had shot back. Unfortunately, they found a nice Jew who did in fact shoot back; he did nothing more than to protect himself according to the accepted guidelines, and they will make a sacrifice out of him... If the army would only deal with the Arabs who shoot at us at least as strongly as they deal with the Jews, we would have some quiet here.\" The Hevron Jewish Community accuses the police once again not only of failing to protect them, but of preventing them from protecting themselves.

To add salt to the Jewish wounds, close to 100 police and special forces raided Jewish homes and warehouses today. They claim they were looking for materials used in connection with an arson attack on an Arab store a month ago.
