Foreign Minister Shimon Peres departs today for a week-long visit to the United States. He will take part in a memorial ceremony sponsored by Jewish communities of New York for the victims of the World Trade Center attack, and will take part in the 57th United Nations General Assembly. Peres will meet with his counterparts from Mexico, China, Russia, Brazil, Ethiopia, Great Britain, New Zealand, Spain, and Armenia, as well as with American officials.
