IDF soldiers shot and killed a wanted Arab in the village of Bitunya near Ramallah last night. The man was a member of the Palestinian Authority security force. Troops approached the suspect and two other armed Arabs in an effort to detain them, but they began to run away. Troops then fired, killing the Arab while the others managed to escape. Army officials say that all three men were involved in attacks against soldiers in the Ramallah area.
Also last night, soldiers operating in the Casbah section of Shechem arrested a top Fatah Tanzim terrorist. Three other wanted Arabs were arrested in the area… Arabs fired a mortar shell at a Jewish community in Gaza, causing no injuries… Israelis walking in the Admat Yishai (Tel Rumeida) section of Hevron were targeted by stone-throwers last night.
