A Palestinian Arab terrorist infiltrated the Sde Efraim agricultural farm, near the town of Neriyah, in the western Binyamin region of Samaria with his vehicle early Friday morning.
The IDF said that the incident occurred at 3:45 a.m. Friday, when the terrorist tried to break into the home of one of the workers on the farm.
While trying to break into the house, the terrorist shouted "Allahu Akhbar", but found he was unable to break through the locked door.
A local guard spotted the terrorist, and called for backup, waking guards who were sleeping in a nearby building.
The terrorist ran towards the guard, who was not armed, leading to a physical confrontation between the two.
One of the other guards who had been woken up opened fire on the terrorist. The owner of the farm also arrived on the scene and opened fire on the terrorist.
During the confrontation the terrorist was shot and killed. There were no casualties among the residents.
IDF forces were deployed to the scene and conducted searches to make sure there are no other terrorists in the area.
Israeli security forces later entered the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Ras Karkar - the town where the terrorist had left before entering Sde Efraim - to continue their searches.
