The Supreme Court rejected MK Michael Kleiner's petition for permission to visit the Temple Mount tomorrow night, the second anniversary of then-MK Ariel Sharon's famous visit to the holy site. The Court accepted the police claim that such a visit would endanger the security of the State and its citizens. Jews have not been permitted to visit Judaism's holiest site in almost two years, but Atty. Osnat Mandel, representing the State, said during the court session that the government is "working on several planes to enable Jews to ascend to the Temple Mount." She did not elaborate.

Several thousand people are expected to demonstrate on behalf of the Jewish people's connection to the Temple Mount, site of the two Holy Temples, this evening. They will once again urge Prime Minister Sharon to agree to reopen the site to Jews.
