The central Shomron community of Har Bracha held a corner stone laying ceremony this afternoon in celebration of a new housing project within the community. Twenty-five new apartment units are in the process of being erected, mainly to be utilized by the community's hesder yeshiva students. Several of the apartments are expected to be functional within the next month.

The apartments are going up in the northeast part of the community near the site of the Arab shooting this past Saturday night that left a husband and his pregnant wife seriously wounded. Deputy Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra who attended today's ceremony congratulated the community on the new housing development. When speaking to Arutz Sheva's Ariel Kahane about Saturday night's attack, he praised the quick response of the soldiers and civilians on the scene who prevented what could have been an even greater tragedy.

Har Bracha resident Yonatan Behar told Arutz Sheva, that the best way to respond to the violence is by making the commitment to "continue to build and grow." He said "we've had six new families join us [as new residents] in the past week or two alone. So many people want to come here that a waiting list had to be put together."
