Two residents of an Arab suburb of Jerusalem, Beit Tzafafa, were indicted this morning in a Jerusalem court on charges of spying for the Palestinian Authority. They are accused of attempting to enlist two women soldiers into their network, promising them money and drugs. The two suspects admitted their connections with Jibril Rajoub's Preventative Security organization.



GSS agents discovered the plan when they reviewed PA documents seized during Operation Defensive Shield. Officials note that this "severe case once again shows the easy access that Jerusalem Arabs have to the Israeli population, by virtue of the freedom of travel that they are granted and the fact that they work in Israel."



Another woman from the northern Israeli-Arab village of Be'eina was arrested last night in connection with helping the suicide terrorist who murdered nine people in last month's Meiron junction bus attack. Like the seven others who have already been arrested in connection with this case, she is a member of the Bakri family. Two of them were released to house arrest this afternoon. A group of demonstrators blocked the Meiron junction last night for a short time in protest of the continuing terrorism.



Muhammed Jerar, 42, an explosives expert planning to carry out a suicide terrorist attack in Israel within the coming days, was arrested by the Israeli security forces this morning in the village of Kod, west of Jenin. Jerar, one of the commanders of the Islamic Jihad military wing in Jenin, taught and trained Islamic Jihad terrorists to manufacture and use explosive materials and devices, and was responsible for several explosives labs... An IDF paratroopers unit, under helicopter cover, arrested three wanted terrorists last night near Tubas, 15 kilometers west of the Jordan Valley community of Shadmot Mecholah... A female Arab who tried to stab a soldier this morning at the Baka el-Sharqiya Checkpoint in northwestern Shomron was arrested for her efforts...
