Channel 12 News joined Former Health Ministry Director Professor Yoram Lass as he arrived Thursday to be vaccinated against COVID-19, insisting that "government hysteria" surrounding the virus is immense and exaggerated. "They ruined the lives of young people, for what?", he asks.
Lass says the unprecedented destruction that humanity experienced this year could have been avoided, and he does not think the relatively low mortality rate is attributable to lockdowns: "Lockdowns - this is something that's been proven in many works I've read - make no difference at all," he told Channel 12.
Why then did he get vaccinated? Lass "just wants to get back to his life," even if he does not believe the vaccine's effectiveness in Israel is provable.
“I want to go back to the orchestra I love to hear,” he said. "Only the vaccine will calm this wave, only the vaccine will save - even if it is a placebo vaccine."
