The wounded victims from last night’s terrorist shooting in the Shomron community of Har Bracha have been identified as Jerusalem residents Dalit and Ya’akov Rand, both 23. The two, who are listed in serious condition, were in Har Bracha for Shabbat celebrating the marriage of a relative. Dalit is in the first trimester of a pregnancy.

The incident began shortly after 8:00 PM last night when an Arab infiltrated into the community by cutting through the perimeter security fence with a pair of wire cutters. The terrorist then opened fire with an AK-47 assault rifle at people walking near the community's hesder yeshiva, wounding the Rands. Dalit was transported by a mobile intensive care unit to Petach Tikvah's Beilinson Hospital, while Ya’akov was airlifted to Tel Aviv's Tel Hashomer Hospital.

Seconds after the shooting began IDF soldier and P’sagot resident Avi Ofer, heard the gunshots and ran to the scene to confront the terrorist. He along with members of the community’s first response unit fired and killed the infiltrator. On the Arab’s body were the weapon used in the attack, additional magazines and a hunting knife. The Palestinian Front For the Liberation Of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
