IDF Chief Of Staff Lt.-Gen Moshe Ya’alon is quoted in today’s Ha’aretz newspaper as saying that Israel must not hand over even one community in Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) to the Palestinians. Ya’alon said that any withdrawal under the current blanket of terror would only encourage further violence and endanger Israel’s citizens.
He added that the PLO-launched Oslo war poses a threat to Israel’s existence and therefore the Palestinian people must choose new democratically-elected leaders.
