Education Minister Limor Livnat dismisses claims by proponents of religious education that the new budgeting system will discriminate against the religious schools. Speaking with Arutz-7 today, she said that the new regulations take into account the economic status of each student, as well as location, prayer-hours, and other data. She emphasized that they will therefore certainly not work against the religious schools or those in the peripheral areas. Livnat also said that hareidi schools would not be "forced" to change their curricula.
