Two more Israeli-Arabs have been arrested for terrorist activities. The police announced today that under detention are two residents of Nazareth who drove a suicide terrorist to his final destination. The would-be murderer in fact blew himself up, purposely or accidentally, in the Israeli-Arab town of Um el-Fahm, wounding one of the two Arabs who was later arrested.

The incident occurred this past Aug. 5, when the two detainees drove the terrorist in their car; they knew him to be in Israel illegally, and even told him how much they were charging him for the trip. During the trip, the two learned that their passenger was a suicide terrorist. They stopped the car and tried to convince him to get out and continue on his own. They later claimed that he threatened to blow them up. One of them ran away, while the other finally reached an agreement with the terrorist according to which he would take him only to Um-el Fahm. When the car stopped in Um el-Fahm, as planned, the explosion occurred. Though it was originally reported that the driver was an innocent bystander, he and his colleague - who had together often driven many illegal Palestinians around Israel, and were even detained for it last month - were indicted today on charges of abetting terrorism.

In yet another case, a PA paramilitary policeman in Ramallah was recently arrested on suspicion of having plotted to murder a military judge in the Beit El Military Court. He then confessed, during his interrogation, that he also planned, together with other Fatah terrorists, to perpetrate a shooting-and-carbomb attack on a local Jewish bus.
